"La plus « British » des soirées parisiennes s’invite chaque mois à l’Elysée Montmartre !!! Né en 2004 à Londres, le Club NME est la soirée du magazine « New Musical Express », journal incontournable de la musique indépendante. La soirée débarque enfin à Paris, avec une programmation pop, rock, electro, alliant « Live » et « Dj’s set » le tout servi dans la plus grande tradition de la fête « à l’anglaise ».

The inventor of the world wide web has called for a new labelling system to help people distinguish fact from fiction when browsing the internet. Sir Tim Berners-Lee said he was increasingly worried at the way his creation is being used to spread lies, hoaxes and urban myths. His comments came at the unveiling of a foundation designed to vet websites and flag up those that are trustworthy and reliable. Sir Tim invented the web while working at the Cern particle physics laboratory in Switzerland 20 years ago.

Two years ago, Mr Kramer told this newspaper how he had invented the device in 1979 – when he was just 23.His invention, called the IXI, stored only 3.5 minutes of music on to a chip – but Mr Kramer rightly believed its capacity would improve.His sketches at the time showed a credit-card-sized player with a rectangular screen and a central menu button to scroll through a selection of music tracks – very similar to the iPod.He took out a worldwide patent and set up a company to develop the idea. But in 1988, after a boardroom split, he was unable to raise the £60,000 needed to renew patents across 120 countries and the technology became public property. -
